Hatcher

Here is the eggs all set in hatching baskets in the hatcher. It is great because you can see them hatch right before your eyes.

Hi Alicia,
Do you hatch your eggs to get meat chickens or for the eggs or both? What % do you usually get that are roosters? I have 8 laying hens and now have 4 silverlaced wyandot poults growing into laying hens. I get more people wanting fresh eggs from my hens than I get eggs so think I will be getting more soon.
Do you sell your eggs?

We raise Bantams for show. We don't use our eggs to eat. Ironically I am allergic to eggs. I am not sure about the percentage of males to females. I never kept track. We ususally buy our meat chicks from a hatchery. So far this year we have hatched 300 chicks
